Mr Geoff Douglass

Geoff is a Chartered Town Planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI). Having previously worked as an agent in the residential, industrial and commercial sectors, he joined Guildford Borough Council as a town planner in 1991, until moving to the private sector. While in local government he was a team leader where he dealt with the larger residential, conservation (listed buildings and conservation areas), commercial, rural and agricultural developments.
Recent experience spans a wide range of development projects including proposals for commercial and industrial (B1, B2 and B8) development, development of commercial proposals on former landfill and contaminated land, housing proposals and regeneration projects within urban and rural areas. Geoff has undertaken a number of planning appeals, including informal hearings, public inquiries and written representation cases throughout the south east.
